Energy-efficient thermal protection coating

ERSTOTHERM is a thermofunctional internal and special coating that works with vacuum-filled ceramic particles.

It was developed to:

  • To increase surface temperatures
  • To mitigate thermal bridges
  • To reduce condensation and thus the risk of mould
  • To noticeably improve room comfort

The coating forms an elastic, vapour-permeable functional layer that regulates moisture and supports energy efficiency.

How does ERSTOTHERM work?

  1. 1. Vacuum ceramic microstructure

    The functional particles contained:

    • Reflect heat radiation
    • Reduce local heat losses

    This causes the surface temperature to rise by several degrees, especially at critical components.

  2. 2. Temperature buffering

    The coating reacts quickly to temperature changes and buffers against cold and heat effects.

  3. 3. Condensation reduction

    Higher wall surface temperatures prevent the dew point from being reached, reduce condensation, and significantly lower the risk of mould.

  4. 4. Diffusion-open moisture regulation

    ERSTOTHERM is permeable to water vapour – moisture does not accumulate.

No, ERSTOTHERM is a thermofunctional coating, not insulation according to GEG, but it is ideal for optimizing surface temperatures and thermal comfort.

How much does the wall surface temperature increase?

Depending on the substrate, wall structure and layer thickness, the effect can be noticeable, typically by several degrees.

Can first-heat thermal therapy prevent mould?

Yes, by reducing condensation and keeping surfaces drier. However, it does not replace treatment for existing mold infestations.

How does the effect feel subjectively?

Rooms appear “warmer” and more balanced because temperature differences on surfaces are reduced.

Can ERSTOTHERM be used outdoors?

Only in coordinated system setups and with separate approval.
