About ERSTOMOULD

Mould-neutralizing interior coating

ERSTOMOULD is a functional, styrene-acrylate-based interior coating for the treatment and prevention of mould growth. The product is applied directly to mould-infested mineral substrates, encapsulating and neutralizing both visible mold and deeper mycelial structures.

This technology eliminates the need for conventional chemical or mechanical pretreatment in many cases. ERSTOMOULD is vapour-permeable, solvent-free, odourless, and, according to the test report, suitable for use in food contact environments.

Operating Principle

Application of erstomould on a mold-infested wall

How does ERSTOMOULD work?

  1. 1. Mechanical-capillary integration:

The formulation penetrates the near-surface capillary layer and binds existing mycelial components.

  2. 2. Neutralisation of mould infestation

Special active components neutralises the visible surface mould and the deeper mycelial zones in the capillary system.

  3. 3. Surface protection & prevention

The coating forms a diffusion-open, carbonation-inhibiting protective film that significantly reduces renewed infestation, provided the cause is addressed through appropriate remediation.
